I've had 2 pairs of KEEN Flint 1's but in 2020 had to order a pair of Flint 2's because Flint 1's (I was told after not being able to find them) were no longer available. To have found these once again I was cautious and assumed Amazon would deliver F2's and I'd have to send them back. I was wrong and so stoked when this pair of 1's came. These are the best work boots I have ever owned! So comfortable that I have even hiked in them at times. If you are looking for lightweight, breathable, safety-toe work boots, these are the best!My husband bought two pair of different work boots at the same time he has not taken these off yet the other set is sitting in his closet he loves loves loves them best ones he's ever had.Great work boots.Very comfortable boot! I’ll never buy another brand, best durable and waterproof boots sold! For a steel toe these boots are very comfortable and lightweight.I have owned Keen hikers and sandals through the years. My steel toes have always been other brand heavy boot style that lasts years, or inexpensive big box store sneaker models that destruct within 6 months. I have now purchased the Keen Lansing mid steel toe for winter (Keen-dry water proof), and the Keen Flint I mid steel toe for summer (no water protection and very breathable). And, I have a Keen Flint low steel toes for lazy days. The Keen Flint I has the soles with bigger lugs, mid cut is true to size, comfortable, good lateral support, and breathable. This is NOT a waterproof shoe. When you pour water on your foot, or work in the rain, your socks will get wet. Keen has water resistant models for decent water protection (Keen-dry), though if you sweat handsomely though your feet as I do, they are less breathable so you will get hot feet in the summer and humid feet in the winter. Thus, the Flint leaves my feet quite aerated and happy with a pair of cotton socks or thin wool liners. Toebox is ample, arch is medium, top of foot lace area is just right. The Keen footbeds are generally good, not great. The Flint mid came with a below average foamy footbed which is hard to remove/re-insert daily, which I do for odor control. If you need more padding or arch, buy a $30 footbed, pull out the factory footbed, and you'll have a very nice all-day work shoe, and can use fancy footbed in other shoes as well. The Keen Flint mid is a great steel toe for all-day wear in dry, above freezing conditions. I expect they will last 8-14 months before sole wears down or flex points crack, wearing average 3-4 days a week of medium duty work.Great boot but as with all KEEN, size up by half. He's a 10 1/2 & we always have to get his KEEN's in an 11.If you've never worn KEEN, it's the comfort of a sneaker with the specs of a work boot. The Flint's have a steel tip, slip resistant bottom.Uppers are a suede like finish that surround your foot with vents. The vents are the first thing to show wear but his usually take about a year and he's on a jobsite 5-6 days a week. The inside is cushioned around the ankle and cradles the foot. After a few months when they settle in, we replace the insoles with the Dr Scholls custom orthotics.Get fitted on the machine at Walmart by the pharmacy. So worth it for back aches. The soles are solid like cement so not shock absorbing.Need a good insole but, a bullet won't make it thru this soles. This is a mid ankle height. He wears boots with his Blaklader pants when his Keen shoes will show. They provide good ankle support without being restrictive while, maintaining a comfort cushion. This has gotta be his 4th or 5th pair of KEEN boots.Started purchasing on Amazon when we realized we could get them for under a hundred if,you add them to cart and check for price drop over the course of a couple weeks.Yeah, it takes some time but got this pair for almost half the original cart price since,he usually knows about a month out when they are going to need to be replaced.Really a good shoe. He won't even entertain wearing anything else for work.I am a costruction worker. Boots seems to be very safe. Especially your toes are protected. Great ankle support. I hope sole is strong enough to protect my feet from nails.Great boot. Always have worn keens for work. Only issue is the posted photos. I like the lighter tan leather as advertised . The boots arrived and are darker brown leather. Already own a darker pair for work that are unexpectedly similar. Was looking for a different color as I stay with the Flints as they are comfortable steel toes for long days at work.was asking him how they fit he can not wear them he said he would try but now its too late to return them :( he can not wear them they hurt his healsCould NOT go wrong for this price! $65.00 Canadian. They don’t have a CSA logo but are still steel toed.
