I asked for and received these boots as a Christmas present. I chose my size based on a pair of boots I already owned, and these fit the same. It took me a while to get them on the first time, but that's to be expected when boots fit properly. Once I got my feet in them they fit perfectly. If I could have easily slipped them on initially, then they would be too large in a few weeks. I used a hair dryer to loosen the leather up so I could wear them initially.I love the look and feel of these boots. New they have the look of old leather - in a good way. They are not flashy, but they are very attractive. I haven't had a chance to see how they do in wet conditions, but I fully expect them to handle most work situations well. This may be one of my favorite presents this year!------Edit on January 29, 2014After nearly a month the boots are still a little tough to put on. I contacted the seller who was willing to accept a return at a discount because they have been worn but helpfully recommended a local boot steamer to stretch them out a half size. However, after yesterday there is no way that I will return the boots. Yesterday was Snowmageddon 2014 in my city. I had to ditch my car and walk 8 miles home in the snow and 20F / -7C temps. I wore these boots and a pair of wool socks and never once did my feet feel cold. They were perfectly comfortable for the entire walk and never a bit damp on the inside.Yes, I want to stretch the boots a bit, but I can't think of anything I would have wanted on my feet for that long, hilly, cold, wet walk home.
